Born in Batalha in 1971, lives and works in Porto.
PhD in Art and Design from FBAUP, illustration area. is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and a member of the research group for Unexpected Media - ID +: University of Porto | University of Aveiro | Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave.
Is a member of the scientific committee of CONFIA - International Conference on Illustration and Animation and UD17: NOISEWISE - Design Research in face of current challenges to knowledge.
In parallel, develops curatorial and research projects in Illustration, and regularly participates in individual and collective exhibitions in the area of Illustration and drawing.
As an illustrator he has collaborated with different publications, editorial projects or other media, such as Serralves, Porto Lazer, Trengo - Porto Circus Festival, Slanted Magazine, Two Pages Project, among others.
Is a founding member of the association and gallery Dama Aflita, in Porto, dedicated to illustration and drawing.
